The western economies have collapsed. China has emerged as the new economic superpower. Macau, an island off Hong Kong, has become the gambling centre of the world, a decadent playground for a new generation of new-world billionaires. 

For the ultra-rich, privileged elite – Macau also offers a chance to bet on deadly and unique sports.  The most popular is Dragon: an elite and brutal combination-sport that blends martial arts, free-running and freestyle soccer into an ultra-violent team game. Dragon is played by some the most notorious and feared street gangs in the world.

The rules are simple. There are six players per team and no rules.  If you are injured during a game you are executed.  If you lose the game you are executed.  There is only one way out.  To win.

In attempt to reconcile with his daughter for past wrongs, and to celebrate her birthday, Matt has saved up to take Zoe to watch her favourite English team, Manchester United, play in a champion's league game in Eastern Europe. At the match they are caught up in a fight between rival soccer gangs and arrested by riot police.

Kidnapped and drugged they are transported by private security firm to a specially converted oil platform in the South China Sea where father and daughter find themselves forced to participate in a fight to the death against some of the most vicious street fighters in the world.
